Apple Tips

  • Apple picking season generally runs from September to November. Go to pickyourown.com to find an orchard.
  • Apples stay crisp in the fridge for 3 months.
  • An open cardboard box in a cool garage or basement is good for apple storage too.
  • Pick outside apple; inner apples take longer to ripen.
  • Keep apples on your counter in a brown paper bag for a few days to sweeten them up.
  • Proper picking technique - palm the apple & pull upward.
